Audi A3 Roof Repairs

The Audi A3 first came to the cabriolet market in 2008, a stylish well executed convertible appealing to those looking for a smaller drop-top.

Its’ rivals include the BMW 2 Series cabriolet, Vauxhall’s Cascada and the VW Golf cabrio – Audi’s A3 cabriolet stands up well against its competition.

At entry level the roof fabric is standard hard wearing or there is a sound absorbent ‘acoustic’ optional extra. The roof system opens and closes in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 31mph.

Like all soft top cabriolets they have their faults and in particular, lack of attention to care and maintenance can lead to water ingress and the usual electrical and mechanical faults caused by water damage on the operational roof system.
